Quinta do Passadouro - Douro DOC, Portugal

Quinta do Passadouro is an 18th centry estate in the Cima-Corgo region of the Douro Valley.
There are 18 hectares of 70 year old vines which are hand picked and trodden by foot in ancient granite tanks.
The estate was purchased in 1991 by Dieter Bohrmann in partnership with Dirk Niepoort and until as recently as 2003 Niepoort still used the finest harvest from Passadouro to make the premium Redoma reserva.
