Giuseppe Ceschin purchased 35 hectares of slopes on the Colli Orientali del Friuli - unquestionably one of the finest Denominazione di Orgine Controllata (DOC) in North-Eastern Italy.
He transformed this into 21 hectares of fine vines, leaving the remaining eastate as woodland to help ensure the estate's bioclimatic equilibrium.
In 2003 the estate was extended by a further 6 hectares of hillside vineyard aquired by Giuseppe's son Giulio who has focused their attention on promoting native grape varieties.
