Domaine Jean-Michel Alquier - Faugères AOC, France

Alquier is one of the best-known names in the Languedoc appellation of Faugères having spanned five generations of family ownership.
Jean-Michel took over the domaine with his brother Frederic in 1989 when his father Gilbert died - Gilbert's father has established the modern estate in 1874 planting Grenache.
Though the two brothers own the estate between them, it is Jean-Michel who is the skilled wine maker and as a testament to his success and the impressive wines the domaine is regularly ranked at the top of the appellation.
